National Father’s Day is marked in honour of all Fathers for everything they do for their children. This is an occasion to express gratitude towards our Fathers for all the love and support that they shared with us. This day provides a platform for creation of a safe ground for Fathers to discuss their experiences in order to challenge all practices that hinder them from being good Fathers, thus rejuvenate their value within Uganda and Internationally.
The period between March 2014 and February 2015 has been quite eventful for MPADV as the organisation celebrated its first anniversary at the frontline of reviving the honour and nobility of family institutions. On June 21st 2018 Men’s Forum Against Domestic Violence Uganda in partnership with ministry of Gender, Labour and social Development organized the 3rd National Father’s Day celebrations at Makerere University Business School Nakawa in Kampala under the theme “Bringing Back the Fathers as an approach for family stability”.
