You’re most welcome to our official website of the Men’s Forum Against Domestic Violence Uganda (MFADVU). MFADVU recognizes gender equality as a fundamental human right and as a condition for effective and sustainable development.

To date, our global society is expanding rapidly and so are our development needs. Societies around the globe are devoting a substantial amount of resources towards achieving a sustainable social-economic development.   However, despite this effort, total eradication of domestic violence in families  has remained a great challenge to our modern time.

Right from our inception, we have remained vigilant and are still fully committed to stepping up efforts  towards making our society more equal and just, through promotion of positive forms of masculinities, engagement of men as positive and supportive partners, and strengthening strategic partnerships between women and men for that end. We believe that by so doing, we can make a significant contribution in turning Uganda into a model society where men working in partnership with women can effectively develop gender relationships that are a pre-requisite for a healthy and steadily growing nation.

We strongly believe that this website will become a platform for more positive interaction, through which we shall be able to exchange important views and ideas in a bid to promote gender equality. We invite you to join us and make an invaluable contribution to this regard. We further believe that our internet portal will equally be an effective and efficient communication and information tool for ALL our partners and stakeholders in development.
